To Whom it May Concern:
How would you describe your identity?
Throughout the course of our lives, we naturally share the titles we hold through encounters like introductions, first dates, interviews, and everyday conversations.
There came a point in my twenties when I solely identified myself as one thing only for a really long time – cancer patient.
Present day, I have become a…
4-year survivor
California resident
Manager
Homeowner
Aunt
Creator
And fiancé
As the years have passed, I noticed the title of cancer patient got pushed further and further back by new titles.
No matter what, my old title, cancer patient will always be a part of me, and I will use everything I learned as I continue to find myself and become “insert titles here”
Breast regards,
Michelle
P.S. Don’t forget – we become more, in due time.
