To Whom It May Concern:

Breast cancer at 27 comes with a lot of baggage. I went from living my best life in my twenties to carrying what felt like the heaviest load of fear, darkness, and gloom. When I look back at my life before cancer, the thing I miss most is my old carefree self and the days my heart used to feel so much lighter.

Now, as a survivor, I’m learning the baggage may never completely fade because cancer’s presence still lingers in the corners of my mind, but there are fleeting instances when laughter feels familiar and bliss overrides the memory of cancer.

Breast cancer at 27 taught me that it’s not just about shedding the weight. It’s about building resilience and creating the best out of every step I take.

I may have a lot of baggage, but I am ultimately stronger through the things I carry.

Breast regards,

Michelle
